In Chinese literature there is a concept called “The Cloud of all Knowing” . This is an opening in a cloud with sunlight streaming through it. We all have seen it in the sky. It is a sign of hope and enlightenment. I see this in the sky sometimes and have photographed this event many times. In this artwork I created pate de verre birds wings which I integrate into oil painted birds. The birds are reaching the cloud of all knowing heading for the opening. As we all look for knowledge and peace we can find this in the beauty of such a cloud. I hope you are able to see it sometime, all you have to do is keep looking and you will find it.
