I love photography and have been taking pictures for many years. One day I discovered the night shot setting on my camera. That evening I went into my garden and began to take pictures of my Dahlias. The white dahlias looked so luminous in the dark. Night gardens are very mysterious. I went into the studio and began to sculpt one of the white dahlias I photographed. I mounted it on a large wood board which I covered with canvas. I painted the canvas in oils using muted grays and silver. I wanted to create a night scene as the Dahlia would rise up from the darkness and be seen. I hope to take more photo’s using night shot photography and discover things we miss in daylight.
