I created this sculpture for my best friend’s birthday. One day I saw morning-doves in my yard sunbathing. They were so uninhibited; after bathing at my birdbath they found a quiet spot and stretched out their wings holding them to the warm sun luxuriating in the day.
I so envied them… how they take the time to enjoy what nature has given. I know the snow and cold will come but they always take advantage of the warmth at hand.
