Snap Shot “Purple Dahlia”

One of my favorite Dahlias is the purple Dahlia. I have painted it many times in my watercolors. This “Snap Shot” Dahlia is created from one of my photographs. I am always amazed seeing the intricate layers of petals on a Dahlia the configuration and shape of them. They are very sculptural flowers. I enjoy translating my photographs into glass castings.
