I always love collages, the ability to combine materials creating something completely new. In this piece, painting along with my love of photography and glass. Gardening is also be a part of this collage as I grew my own Dahlias and photographed them for this piece. The photographs are on archival papers. It is a whole thought process from garden to collage, taking patience and time. What started as a planted root in my garden led to this collage several layers of ideas create this work of art.
