One of the most interesting visitors to my feeders are hummingbirds. Nature creates many unique creatures each with a purpose for the planet. I am amazed how they return around the same time each year using their internal clocks. Even before I put out my feeder in the spring I often find the same ones hovering around the spot looking for it, they remember. They are so tiny and their nests and eggs even smaller. Hummingbirds are pollinators and have so much energy and beauty in a little package. I always leave the feeder out for a while in the fall, there are always a few stragglers leaving late and all the flowers are gone. I sculpted a panel in clay then cast it in glass. The panel is mounted onto a wood cradle board having an oil painting.
